LightSpeed for iPad 1.1, Support for Tyro Payments opens LightSpeed for iPad to Australian market

Support for Tyro Payments opens LightSpeed for iPad to Australian market

Now allowing returns, LightSpeed for iPad can be used as standalone POS
LightSpeed, makers of award-winning retail technology for the iGeneration, today released version 1.1 of LightSpeed for iPad, retail’s first truly interactive customer experience platform that has already generated thousands of iTunes App Store downloads and is being used by retailers to provide a rich, interactive shopping experience to their customers.

The new version provides added support for performing invoice returns, allowing LightSpeed for iPad to function as a standalone Point of Sale system, and expands the payments options it supports, adding improved support for Tyro Payments and opening LightSpeed for iPad up to the Australian market. The new release also fixes a few minor issues.

This is a natural evolution of our ground-breaking iPad platform, the only iPad POS for inventory-centric retailers who require scanning and that also offers a rich Mac-based backend along with Mobile clients and eCommerce,” said LightSpeed CEO Dax Dasilva. “We are thrilled by the reception LightSpeed for iPad has received from retailers who know that providing their customers with a superior in-store shopping experience drives higher sales volumes.”

Smart Integration

Tyro interacts wirelessly with your LightSpeed system and allows the total purchase amount to appear directly on the terminal itself.  There are no cables needed, no drivers to install and no software to download.  With a small configuration to the LightSpeed system, you can use Tyro to process all credit card and EFTPOS payments in Australia with Chip and Pin Authentication.

No Keying Errors

An integrated credit card and EFTPOS solution with LightSpeed will reduce keying errors from double entry, speeding up the transaction process.

No Phone Lines Required

Tyro's EFTPOS terminals use your existing internet setup and run over broadband through Ethernet or WiFi.  No more need for dedicated phone lines.

The LightSpeed for iPad app is a free download on the iTunes App Store and requires a LightSpeed Server with one available user license per iPad client, available for purchase from SMB Consultants. LightSpeed for iPad requires an iPad or iPad 2 running iOS 5 or higher.
